Hang Dynasty: Education





In Hang Dynasty there were two kinds of official schools: central and local. The great school was the most important central school and the "Hong Dou Men Schools" and "Noble Schools" were special types of central official schools. Local official schools were called "County Schools. The local private schools were more wide spread and more existed.Education became very important in 85 B.C.E. New classes of gentry was introduced and many encyclopedia was made. Art was also a big issue. In The Hang Dynasty people created great artistic work, like sculptures.Man and women could take classes. Any Tang woman could take a class she wanted. Education was offered and important for anyone at the time.

Han Dynasty :Military


Han had a main goal. His goal was the unification of China. This process was finally complete during Wu Ti's reign (141-87 B.C.). He expanded the borders into Vietnam and Korea and pushed the Hsiung nu south of the Gobi. Wu Ti and 2 million people had to help. Han also did trade with the people of inner Asia. He created a road called the Silk Road which was a long road to make trade easier. This made a big change in The Han in terms of trade to becoming a better place. Military in The Han Dynasty was great because it was many guys trying to make a place a better place to live in.

Medicine In Han Dynasty






During the Han Dynasty people believed that nature could be harmful to the human body. They also believed that the sin of desire for food can bring evil influence to their body or bring exposure to changes in temperature and environment could imbalance. For the human body, the most important factor was maintaining the proper flow of ch'i, this was believed to bring goods to the body. They believed that it would include the five phases which are the five essential environmental elements: metal, wood, water, fire and soil. Bian Que was a famous doctor in which he proposed four ways of diagnosis-observation. The four ways were auscultation, olfaction, interrogation and pulse feelings. Those were used to discover where the disease was located.In the eastern part of Han Dynasty lived a man named Zhang Zhongjing. He was a medical scientist who read many ancient books and combined his ideas with the ones from his past. He was known as the Sage of Medicine because he contributed greatly in the Chinese medicine. He helped come up with many ways of curing diseases. Such as febrille diseases which meant epidemic cholera, malaria, pneumonia, flu and other infectious diseases. After all his accomplishments he made a book explaining all his experiences which that was also another reason why he is called the Sage of Medicine.
